Unlockables and tips for Dead Space 3.
1.Modes
| Mode | How to Unlock |

| Hardcore Mode | Only 3 saves and 1 life across the campaign; completing it unlocks the 'Devil Horns' weapon |
| Retro Mode | Complete Hardcore mode |
| Classic Mode | A rewind to the original Dead Space (single-player, no crosshairs/resource management) |
| Pure Survival | Enemies only drop resources; completing it unlocks the MK-II Overclocked Parts Set |
2.Difficulty Rewards (Circuit Set)
Casual: +3 CLP; Normal: +3 RLD; Hard: +3 SPD; Impossible: +3 DMG.
3.Collectible Rewards
All weapon parts → Crafter's; all blueprints → Builder's; all circuits → MK-II Overclocked Attachment; all logs → MK-II Overclocked Module; all artifacts → MK-II Overclocked Tip.

5.Tips & Exploits
- Unlimited Items: Near the end of Chapter 8, the building with a generator on the right and bunk beds on the left; leave through the door, and after it closes re-enter — a random item appears by the beds; repeat. (At the end of Chapter 13, the crate boxes in the snowy field respawn via 'Save And Quit' + 'Continue'.)
- Kill enemies easily: Wait near a door/elevator and enemies retreat from the area; step into range and pick them off one by one.
- Under a Buck trophy: In Chapter 4, exit the elevator and turn left to shoot the deer head.
- Hidden message: The first letter of each chapter, in order, spells 'Brother moons are awake'.
