Unlocking Characters & Hard Mode
Android 21, SSGSS Goku/Vegeta and Hard mode.
Unlocking characters and Hard mode in Dragon Ball FighterZ.
1.Hard Mode
Complete the game to unlock Hard mode (higher-level enemies, better skill rewards).
2.Change Your Point Character
Hold L or ZL on the 'VS' screen to change the character taking point on your team; a confirmation sound plays if entered correctly.
3.Unlock Characters

| Android 21 | Complete the three Story arcs (Super Warrior, Enemy Warrior, Android 21) — only her Majin form is playable |
| Goku (SSGSS) | Complete 'Hyperbolic Time Chamber Course (Hard)' in Arcade with an A+ rank OR earn 500,000 Zeni |
| Vegeta (SSGSS) | Complete 'Extreme Gravity Spaceship Course (Hard)' in Arcade with an A+ rank OR earn 300,000 Zeni |
4.Secret Characters in Story Mode
Reaching Level 40 in Story mode unlocks two characters not officially part of the story (usable in any campaign): Goku (SSGSS) — reach Lv.40 with Goku (Super Saiyan); Vegeta (SSGSS) — reach Lv.40 with Vegeta (Super Saiyan).
