- Free the White Queen: To solve the final part of the dream-sequence puzzle where young Lara breaks into her own house, move the globe away from the correct coordinates — this retracts the ladder and frees the White Queen.
- Easy stealth kills: With the Viper's Snare skill you can booby-trap a downed enemy with an explosive charge; when a comrade approaches it detonates, giving you a stealth kill.
- Explorer Backpacks: These reveal the locations of ALL Crypts, Treasure Chests and Survival Caches on the map, so finding them is a priority — it saves time hunting for collectibles.
- Raposa's Wit skill: Pick it up as early as possible, as it unlocks the next tier of weapon upgrades.
- Animal hearts: A headshot is best for smaller animals and humans, but some larger animals go down faster if shot in the heart. Without the perk that shows the beating heart, you can guess its location.
