Tips & Alternate Ending
The morality system, the Redemption ending and diary pages.
Tips for Metro: Last Light.
1.Alternate Ending (Redemption)
Completing the game with a majority of good moral choices unlocks the 'Redemption' ending. Each good choice triggers a flash of light. Without enough good choices you get the 'C'est La Vie' ending.
2.Actions That Gain Morality
- Doing exactly what NPCs instruct
- Finding hidden ammo caches on 'Quarantine'
- Being generous with bullets (giving to beggars)
- Listening to dialogue in populated areas (exploration)
- Returning the crying child's teddy bear in 'Venice'
- Completing 'Facility', 'Revolution', 'Separation' and 'Bridge' without killing humans
- Seeing all visions in 'Dead City'
- Sparing surrendering soldiers
- Playing musical instruments, rescuing women and children, listening to NPC stories
3.Actions That Lose Morality
Killing humans, killing surrendering soldiers, stealing in populated areas.
4.Diary Pages (Published Achievement)
Find all 43 hidden diary pages. They're collected automatically; track what you're missing via the 'Diary' option in the 'Pause' menu. You can quit a chapter immediately after finding one without losing progress.
