Cheats and exploits for Dead Island: Riptide.
- Always Get Legendary Weapons: Stay idle next to a weapon box/container for at least 4 real hours, then open it for a Legendary weapon.
- Duplicate Melee Weapons: Equip a throwable weapon (melee, throwing knives) and throw it; while it's in the air, quickly open your inventory, unequip the thrown weapon, exit the inventory and pick it up — you now have two. Doesn't work for guns (can't be thrown) or bombs/molotovs.
- Infinite Inventory: Fill your inventory leaving one empty slot, start a trade with a friend and have them give you two weapons. You can then pick up and hold as many weapons as you want (always keep at least one more than the max).
- Canned Food Exploit: In an early chapter you're asked to gather canned food. After ~10-20 cans, drop them and kill yourself; during the recovery, quickly load the last checkpoint — the cans are both in your inventory and on the ground. Repeat to stockpile for XP/money.
- Carry Additional Weapons (John Morgan): Enter rage mode; John pulls out a separate staff. If your inventory is full and a weapon is nearby, quickly select it to replace the baton — exceeding the usual 18-weapon max.
- Trampoline Glitch: At Haili Village, climb the ladder on the big unfinished boat, look at the cracked board, walk off and double-tap once to fly onto the roof.
