1.Alternate Layouts
- Type B: Get two of the three achievements for a ship.
- Type C: Reach Sector 8 with a ship's Type B, with Advanced Edition content on.
2.Ships
| Ship | How to Unlock |
|---|---|
| Engi Cruiser | Reach Sector 5 with the Kestrel |
| Federation Cruiser | Find a 'Huge Rebel Shipyard' in a Rebel Stronghold sector, look around, then win the battle |
| Lanius Cruiser | Unlock four ships besides the Kestrel |
| Mantis Cruiser | Complete a famous-thief quest in a Mantis Homeworld sector (needs a Mantis crew member and a teleporter) |
| Rock Cruiser | Complete a quest in a Rock Homeworld sector where a node has a Rock ship insult you |
| Slug Cruiser | Complete a quest in a Slug Home Nebula sector (needs level 2 sensors or a Slug crew member) |
| Stealth Cruiser | Complete a stolen-blueprints quest in an Engi Homeworld sector (needs an Engi crew member) |
| Zoltan Cruiser | In a Zoltan Homeworld sector, choose 'Hear them out' with the ship claiming to be an unarmed peace envoy |
| Crystal Cruiser | Get the 'Damaged Stasis Pod' augmentation by completing a random encounter in Pirate/Engi sectors |
