Recruiting buddies in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
1.D-Dog ('Cry Havoc' achievement)
Fulton-extract the puppy at the landing zone at the start of Mission 4 (also found at the landing zones of Missions 3 and 5). Return to Mother Base (finish the mission or call back the helicopter) and watch the cutscene. Then complete Missions 7, 8, 9, 10 and any two others; when you return, the pup has grown and D-Dog is available as a buddy.
2.Quiet ('Speechless' achievement)
At the end of Mission 11 (the cutscene where you hold the gun to her head), do not kill Quiet. Completing Mission 14 unlocks Side Op 111: Visit Quiet. Visit her on Mother Base's medical platform; from the helipad, go down the stairs in front of you to find her cell. Then call back the helicopter to leave — you'll watch a cutscene and Quiet becomes available as a buddy.
