Boss Strategies

Berial, Demonic bosses and Sanctus.

Boss strategies for Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition.

1.Defeating Berial

Use Grim Grip to reel yourself to his head and attack with your sword. When the combos finish, use Grim Grip again while airborne. When his flames are gone, jump to his head and grab it with the Devil Bringer; when he lands, use Devil Bringer again to throw and punch him. Then run a short distance away because he releases an explosion around him. Pick up Green Orbs from destroyed buildings, and roll to avoid his flame geysers and sword attack. Keep attacking this way and use your Charge Shot to beat him in under a minute.

2.Defeating Demonic Bosses

Use Nero's Devil Bringer. Before dazing any demonic boss, raise your Devil Trigger as high as possible. As soon as the enemy is dazed, activate Devil Trigger and use the uppercut. Using it on different parts of the body makes a good combo.

3.Defeating Sanctus (Mission 20)

While Sanctus is airborne in his shield inside Sparda, get close and break the shield with sword attacks as earlier in the game. He sometimes blocks with the Sword of Sparda; when he does, use the uppercut to break his guard. If skilled, use Devil Trigger while he's airborne for a special combo to force him down; otherwise let him fall. Once his health is around 10–15% he uses a charging sword attack (you can bypass this with the perfected combo). Timing is key: at exactly the right moment of his charge, uppercut to break his guard, then immediately Devil Trigger uppercut to finish. In the second fight (as the False Prophet), timing matters again — just uppercut his attacks away.
